Rockwood Stage 1: 4/5/14

To Be Free

She says she’ll marry the sea
So she will never have to stay in one place
And she says she’ll climb the highest tree
So she can get a little closer to space
Cuz she don’t want to live for nobody

She says when she grows up
She’ll rule the world with a grin on her face
And if she’s ever served commitment’s cup
She’s gonna shatter it all over the place
Cuz she don’t want to live for nobody

She got that look in her eye
Gonna live and let die
Til she finds her way

And she wants to run for eternity
And she wants no part of humanity
No she never gives only takes what she needs to be free
To be free

Now here he comes with a sauntering walk
Stops and smiles, he steals her mind from the room
And he sees the world as a road map marked and chalked
Takes her seed of a heart, turns it full into bloom
And she might start to live for somebody

But she wants to run for eternity
And she wants no part of humanity
No she never gives only takes what she needs to be free
And she lays mines on the path she walks
She’s careless of the time, she’ll keep changing the clocks
Cuz she only listens to what guides her to be free
To be free

She’s wakes up tangled in arms and sheets
The world is quiet, sunlight tickles her toes
But through the nine pane window lies the sight of the sea
That tumbling tide; how it comes, how it goes
And she won’t ever live for somebody

Gotta keep that look in her eye
Gonna live and let die
Til she finds her way

And she wants to run for eternity
And she wants no part of humanity
No she never gives, only takes what she needs to be free
And she lays mines on the path she walks
She’s careless of the time, she’ll keep changing the clocks
Cuz she only listens to what guides her to be free
To be free
